Unfortunately, the Mo family ran into the Xu family, and then things started to go awry. In the end, they couldn't proceed as planned and could only lay siege to the capital city.
The rebel forces were numerous, with several hundred thousand soldiers divided into several groups, attacking the city in turns. With inadequate forces on the city walls, it inevitably became difficult to hold them back. The battle raged for a day and a night, and by then, most of the city's soldiers were either dead or injured. At this point, it was Wenhan who came up with the idea of conscripting some officials from the capital, especially the guards of the noble families, to help defend the city. This, at least, relieved some of the pressure.
