Atop the city walls, all the guards were fully alert, watching the Northern Yuan army beneath them. Once the enemy came within attack range, the catapults that had been hastily assembled over the past few days were all loaded with bombs. Someone lit the fuses with a torch and launched the bombs.
These dark jars flew through the air and landed smack in the middle of the densely packed crowd. At the moment they were about to hit the ground, there was a loud boom as they exploded. Instantly, countless men were injured by the bombs, with some even having parts of their bodies blown off. The attacking forces immediately descended into chaos as soldiers who had never seen such bizarre weapons were terrified and stood frozen, not daring to charge forward anymore.
A series of explosions continued to rock the midst of the Northern Yuan's army. In no time, bodies and body parts were sent flying, with many directly losing their lives and the rest sustaining grave injuries.
