On April 18th, it was the day for the young couple to return to Jinghan's natal family. Early in the morning, Zixuan roused a groggy Jinghan from sleep, and after a quick wash, they went to the front yard to have something to eat.
After breakfast, Zixuan drove the bullock cart with Jinghan back to her natal home. Initially, the Xing family intended to hire someone else to drive the cart, or even hire a sedan chair. Jinghan found it to be too much of a hassle, as using a sedan chair would require finding one in the town, and they might as well just directly go back to town themselves. And so, the couple set off on the bullock cart.
The journey from the village to the town took merely a quarter of an hour. Along the way, Jinghan enjoyed the sight of wildflowers and the lush grass by the roadside, feeling exceedingly cheerful and couldn't help humming a tune.
