Zhiming and Wencheng returned in mid-October. This trip took longer than usual but resulted in a fruitful harvest. They ventured far this time and carried an abundance of ginseng. Their regular client couldn't take it all, so they were referred to several other clients and Wencheng personally made contact.
Medicinal materials from the North were still quite popular in the South, and those brought by Wencheng sold out along the way. This time Wencheng was more astute and selectively purchased many medicinal materials that were unavailable in the North, which they then sold off on their return journey. With Yeye and others accompanying them, Zhiming and Wencheng felt confident enough to acquire a large quantity of medicinal materials, hence the significant bounty they received.
