Jinghan returned to the mountain, life there remained as always, peaceful yet busy. On the mountain, there was an endless amount of work to be done, and this year they had incubated a total of forty thousand silkworm eggs, quite a large number indeed. The entire northern forest had become Jinghan's sericulture field. Fortunately, no one managed these parts; as long as no one cut down the trees, Jinghan could confidently rear silkworms inside.
The weather this year wasn't very good, with May being somewhat dry, which undoubtedly added to their workload. Jinghan and her family would sprinkle water in the forest every day to maintain its humidity. Since the forest was quite far from the river, that left Zhixin and the others to help carry water there.
"Dad, this isn't a solution either, it's not just tiring, it's also so time-consuming," Jinghan complained with some frustration, "Why won't this darn weather bring some rain?"
