After the Dragon Boat Festival, Zhide and Huixin also returned to their homes, and naturally, Brother Wenhan and the other two were no exception, all going back to school. Jingya, of course, went with them; otherwise, Huixin would be too busy to manage on her own.
The mountain restored its peace, and everyone was back to their own tasks, busy with their matters. Jinghan, along with Jingwan and Jingxian, still went to check on the oak silkworms in the morning and didn't return until nearly noon. The oak silkworms were truly changing every day, and now, after one molting, they had taken on various colors—yellow, green, and some even patterned, completely different from mulberry silkworms.
Generally, oak silkworms go through four molts before they spin cocoons, with each molting interval averaging around eight or nine days. Thus, from hatching to cocooning generally takes around fifty days, though the process could sometimes be slightly delayed by the weather.
