Over at the wharf, Wenhan and his brothers were busy as well. This time of year, the fish were plentiful; within each wharf, there would be an abundance. The largest were the size of a palm, and the smallest were about three inches long, usually crucian carp, whitebait, bighead carp, and so on. Wenhan and the others had brought a wooden barrel, and by now, it was brimming full.
"Big brother, let's head home, we've caught a lot of freshwater crayfish," Jinghan called out. "We can make freshwater crayfish with tofu when we get back."
Wenxuan heard Jinghan's shout and yelled back in her direction, "Second sister, we've caught so many fish, we'll have plenty to eat now." His voice was full of excitement and exhilaration.
