Wu Changgen and Wu Changsheng came, driving their ox cart. The first couple of trips were for the larger pieces of furniture. They carried them into the house and arranged them according to Chen Afu's instructions.
Once the furniture was in place, the room felt like a home.
Looking at his new home, Chen Afu could not help but smile. It was a humble place, but it was his home now.
It was only after everything was arranged that Chen Afu noticed some carvings on the side of the bed table. She pointed to them and asked, "Brother Wu, Brother Wu, didn't you bring the wrong ones?"
Upon looking, Wu Changgen also felt that there had been a mistake.
Grinning with his white teeth, Wu Changsheng said, "No, it's not a mistake. I deliberately carved these patterns."
The carvings were of plum blossoms. The addition of these small flowers made the entire table look much more attractive.
