Every five years since the establishment of Beizhou, Xiqi, and Nanfeng countries twenty-five years ago, a competition was held to decide the supreme leader amongst the three nations. Despite occasional conflicts and wars between the countries, the competition has never stopped; it is held every five years.
There are some special rules for the competition. For example, there is no limit to the number of participants. As long as a country has capable people who are willing to compete, they could send a hundred participants if they wish. Using overwhelming numbers to defeat opponents is allowed.
However, due to the waste of time created by having too many participants and to prevent the " using numbers to overwhelm" tactic, knockout rounds are held before the actual competition. This "purification" process selects the best contestants who will truly participate in the final.
