Avie Scarlet took the spoon from the Director.
She hastily said, "Thank you."
It was only when she spoke that she realized her voice was shaking.
Damn it.
Not only had she messed things up, but she'd also made a fool of herself.
She was so stupid...
Avie Scarlet was cursing herself inside.
Suddenly she felt a pair of arms propped on either side of her, pressing down on the table.
In just an instant, she felt herself enveloped from behind by the arms.
"What's your name?" the young man's slightly magnetic voice suddenly rang in her ear.
It took Avie at least two seconds to realize who was speaking to her.
The next second, she was so scared that she nearly didn't dare to breathe.
"The prince is asking you, please answer!" The Director was both angry and dared not show it, thinking the girl was much too timid.
Other girls would have already shown a range of responses in this situation, yet only this Avie Scarlet was so unresponsive.
