"I'm not sure yet," Melody Foster said, seeming a bit shy. "It could be just my imagination."
"No, I have a feeling it's true," Jose held up a finger. "Darton, you agree, right?"
Darton Thompson's face was somewhat pale, but she still managed a forced smile: "Whether it's an illusion or not, we'll know after a check-up."
"Do you have a way to get it checked?" Jose asked Darton excitedly. "How about we go for the check-up today? If we do it today, we can also tell mommy and make her happy."
"Today isn't a good day," Melody Foster immediately interrupted Jose. "The engagement ceremony is tomorrow. If anything were to… Anyhow, it's not quite right yet."
"What does the engagement ceremony matter?" Jose seemed puzzled. "Getting engaged and being pregnant aren't conflicting events."
