Arthur Baker looked at the bright surgical knife in Nigel Clegg's hand.
Back in his days of training at the Military Academy, he had always considered himself a real man, unafraid of blood and pain.
Yet, why was it that at this moment, even before the knife had touched him,
he felt as though he couldn't bear it?
Perhaps it was because Nigel Clegg had already severed the tendons in his hand.
Or maybe, it was because Nigel Clegg's presence at the moment was too intimidating.
Over the years he had known him, Arthur Baker's opinion of Nigel Clegg had always been that he was intelligent and skilled, but just a bit too gentle.
He wasn't ruthless; everything he did was rational and measured.
So, deep down, Arthur Baker had always somewhat looked down on Nigel Clegg's character.
But today, he realized that Nigel Clegg could also have such a fierce and ferocious side.
If someone crossed his bottom line... there was nothing he wouldn't do.
