Maybe a few minutes ago, because of Millie Edvin's presence, she had thought about wanting to know John Coleman's identity.
But now, she found her own thoughts laughable.

John Coleman saw Dodo's unruffled gaze, he saw his own reflection.
Such a despairing reflection, as if of a dead person.
