The first thing Dodo saw made her heart inexplicably begin to race.
At this moment, he was facing away from her, perfectly displaying the tattoo on his back for her to see.
It was a thicket of thorns, very three-dimensional and lifelike, with a gothic yet realistic style.
From directly behind, the mass of thorns seemed as if they were growing out of his back, and at one end, they appeared to be deeply embedded into his skin. Dodo could even make out a ring-shaped blood mark around where the thorns penetrated.
That shape... no matter how she looked at it, it resembled a... bullet hole!
John was putting on his pants with his back to Dodo.
He slipped into two pairs of trousers right over his bath towel, then ripped off the towel and turned around.
This time, the tattoo on his front was also laid bare before Dodo's eyes.
Directly in front of the back tattoo was a blossoming rose.
The rose, too, appeared to be growing amidst the thorns.
