John Coleman didn't want to take this call.
Seeing the number annoyed him, so much that he wanted to hurl his phone into the endless darkness.
But just as he was about to swing his phone away, he hesitated.
Perhaps this was the only person in the world who would call him?
He thought to himself.
John Coleman felt lonely.
He didn't want to take this call.
Yet, he felt it was his only bit of redemption.
He answered the call, "What do you want..."
My only redemption.
The other side was silent for a few seconds before a slightly husky voice spoke, "What's up with your voice?"
"Nothing," John Coleman replied lazily. As soon as he heard the other person's voice, he knew it wasn't his redemption; his heart began sinking again.
"I'm in Misty City," the person said briefly. "Want to meet up?"
"No," John Coleman responded in a flat tone, "I'm busy."
"What's wrong?" John Coleman could almost picture the frown on the other side, "I came here because of you. Give me a chance, hm?"
