"A small city. It's my territory," Lewis Marshall had the servant bring Victoria some fruit juice. He lifted his hand, "Please, feel free to drink it, nothing has been added."
Victoria had already picked up the juice, but upon hearing Lewis Marshall's words, she couldn't help but put it down again.
His words made it impossible for her to drink.
"How did I get here?" Victoria asked Lewis Marshall.
Time changes everything, and she seemed to no longer hold her past prejudices against him.
"Someone contacted the prince, hoping to deal with you. Unfortunately for them, they reached out to me. So, I simply came over," Lewis Marshall said in a calm and indifferent tone.
"I don't understand," Victoria replied honestly, "Who wants to deal with me? And they would go so far as to reach out to the prince?"
Lewis Marshall gave Victoria a sidelong glance.
