Dodo suddenly screamed, "Merlin, you're hurt!"
Merlin's back was stained red with blood.
"Stop stating the obvious!" Merlin merely pushed Dodo, "Run!"
After saying this, he finally shoved Dodo into the river.
The river water, carrying a tinge of earthy smell, immediately surged towards Dodo.
The pain that had been briefly subdued by medication started to surge from her full arm again.
However, before Dodo could stabilize herself in the water and prevent herself from being swept away, a huge splash erupted next to her.
Merlin had jumped into the water with her.
He gripped the arm that Dodo had injured and started swimming forward, pulling her with him.
Dodo wanted to say something but as soon as she opened her mouth, river water poured in. She quickly raised her head to prevent herself from swallowing the water.
