"Why can't Lucas Douglas be good? Why can't he just be a truly good person?" Billy asked through sobs. "Why does he have to be the bad guy and do bad things? What's the point of opposing the world?"
Upon hearing Billy's question, Lucas Douglas fell silent for a long time.
Finally, he let out a long sigh, "I've already lost my qualifications to be a good person..."
"How could you not be qualified?" Michael couldn't help but interpose. "In our hearts, Lucas Douglas has never been a villain. Why are you giving up without trying?"
"Enough," Lucas Douglas unlocked the car door. "It's late; you should go home."
"Lucas Douglas!" Billy and Michael cried out simultaneously, their voices full of reluctance to part.
"Go away now!" Lucas turned around and glared at Billy and Michael. "If you don't leave, don't blame me for locking you back in the treasury!"
Billy and Michael froze.
Throughout their lives, Lucas Douglas had never spoken to them with such menace.
