Merlin Edvin nodded quietly.
The couple was thrilled upon hearing her desire to move in as soon as possible.
"I have relatives working in the relevant department, we'll make the arrangements right away. We should have everything sorted by this afternoon," the husband said enthusiastically, "if possible, can we take Merlin Edvin home with us tonight?"
Victoria was stunned for a few seconds.
Weren't this couple in too much of a hurry?
However, Mrs. Clegg whispered to Victoria, "I'm acquainted with their elders, and we're fairly familiar with each other, so there shouldn't be any major issues."
"Well.... alright." Victoria sensed that the haste didn't seem right.
But since Merlin Edvin and the couple were so keen to form a new family, she didn't want to dampen their spirits.
By evening, the car to fetch Merlin Edvin had arrived.
Merlin Edvin, dressed in new clothes Victoria had given her, sat on the edge of her bed, watching the servant pack up all her toys and clothes.
