"Is that so?" Decker squeezed his eyes closed, "But Miss Hannah Clegg, every bit of surveillance footage showed, on the night of the theft, only you were lurking outside the gold shop. Oh no, you have another name, don't you, Mateo Talkington? I wonder what I should call you?"
He turned his scoffing gaze to Hank Clegg as he finished talking.
"So many people come and go from the gold shop every day. What proof do you have that I stole something? Do you have surveillance footage of me inside the gold shop?" Mateo Talkington countered.
"No," Decker grimaced, "The gold shop's surveillance system was destroyed. But we have the recordings of you entering and exiting the hotel. Can it be that you didn't know the gold shop is inside the hotel and has an interior door? That door was the one damaged."
