"Alright, alright, I won't talk nonsense," Milo retorted, waving his hands frantically, "I know you're shy, I can understand your feelings."
Milo appeared frightened, but anyone could discern the strong undertones of mockery and ridicule in his voice.
Victoria and Michael were both taken aback.

Victoria and Michael could tell that while Milo seemed submissive, he was, in reality, instigating Merlin.
