Concerned about Merlin's situation, Victoria went to the sanatorium with the kids to visit the Edvin siblings the next morning.
Michael didn't seem to want to see how Merlin was cozying up to his mommy, so he went to see Milo first.
Milo looked at Michael and quickly jumped off his bed.
"Michael," his eyes were sparkling, "I asked the nurse for a set of International Chess yesterday. Shall we play together?"
"Sure." Michael, fearing he wouldn't have anything to play with, agreed immediately. "But I'm very good at International Chess, don't expect me to go easy on you."
Seeing Milo and Michael getting along so well, Victoria smiled contentedly: "You guys play first, mommy is going to see Merlin."
"Go on, go on," Michael, who had already started setting up the chess pieces, said without looking up, "We don't need you to supervise us."
Feeling a bit redundant, Michael owned up to it and decided to stay and watch them play International Chess.
