Michael had already gone inside the building to fetch the nurse.
Yet, Hank Clegg stood downstairs, unmoving.
He put down Duo Duo, looking at Merlin upstairs. She was stuck between the windows, still struggling to squeeze herself out.
When Michael called for medical personnel, they opened the door of Merlin's room, but only Merlin's feet were still inside.
"Grab her!" Michael shouted.
However, by the time he had yelled, Merlin's legs had squeezed through the window and fell.
"Hank Clegg!" Victoria watched as Merlin fell, and involuntarily shouted his name.
But Hank Clegg had already been prepared.
Considering that the sanatorium's floors were not too high and that Merlin was on the second floor, her small body would not fall too fast. Hank Clegg was confident that he could easily catch her due to the short distance.
Sure enough, Merlin fell almost directly into Hank Clegg's arms.
