The teacher was obviously startled.
"What happened to you?" she asked Milo, "Did your father hit you?"
Milo quickly shook his head: "No."
His voice was as thin as a mosquito's hum.
"Did he burn you with cigarettes?" Hannah shouted.
She clearly saw that there was a distinct circular burn mark on Milo's arm and some irregular burn marks, suggesting he was burned not just with a cigarette but possibly a lighter as well.
Hearing Hannah's voice, Milo didn't utter a word and suddenly turned to run away.
"You, Milo!" the teacher anxiously called out, "Where are you going?"
The teacher quickly chased after him.
Seeing this, Hannah also jumped over the desk and chased after him.
"Miss Hannah!" Michael tried to stop her, but she was gone in a flash.
"Oh no," Michael shook his head, "Might Hannah have feelings for Milo?"
"Milo! Milo!" Hannah quickly outran the teacher and caught up to Milo in the school, "What are you running from?"
