"Who's supposed to treat us tonight?" Victoria asked, flashing a cheeky grin at Charlotte Wilson and Logan Franklin.
Ever since they walked in, she couldn't help but notice their intertwined fingers.
Even when she was with Hank Clegg, they rarely displayed such blatant affection.
"Of course, I'll foot the bill." Logan smiled in return, "I do owe you guys, especially my sister-in-law and my boss, and the two little ones."
"Well, aren't you considerate." Victoria nodded approvingly, feigning seriousness.
Hank Clegg couldn't help but consider nudging her head in response.
"You've got a lot of nerve." He grumbled, "We should be thankful you weren't on your knees begging for forgiveness."
"Ugh!" Victoria stuck her tongue out at Hank Clegg, "No one asked for your opinion, Mr. Serious."
The only retort Hank Clegg could manage was a frosty stare, which belied his affection for her.
