"You seem a little different today..."
When they returned to the car, the blush on Victoria's face hadn't subsided.
"What's different, the length, width, hardness or duration?" Hank Clegg asked this with a matter-of-fact tone, leaving Victoria especially flustered.
They had originally planned to have Italian cuisine for dinner, but to Hank's surprise, Victoria fell asleep in the car.
Hank Clegg silently parked the car in front of the Western Restaurant and quietly waited as Victoria slept.
By the time Victoria woke up, the restaurant had already closed for the day.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Victoria asked Hank accusingly.
"Because you were sleeping." His response was as good as no response.
Victoria was about to object, but she held back.
Hank's warmth was like a volcano under a glacier; you knew it was there, simmering beneath the surface, but unless it erupted, you would never know just how intense it could be.
