A glint of scrutiny flashed across Hank Clegg's eyes.
Harry Gordon's acting was terrible, and Hank could tell at a glance that something was amiss.
He immediately turned to Logan and ordered, "Call Ava Cooper. Check what's happening."
Harry said Ava's phone was off?
Something was not right.
Upon hearing Hank's words, Harry felt a jolt of panic, but he had to put on a facade of composure.
But just then, his subordinates who had just gone to search returned.
"Boss, we've searched everywhere. There's no sign of Ava Cooper or Charlotte Wilson."
No one?
Hank was slightly taken aback. Then he asked his subordinates in code, "Is there a basement?"
"We've searched specifically for it but found nothing," one of his subordinates reported.
"Boss, Ava Cooper's phone is now on but there's no answer," Logan said.
Hearing this, Hank once again directed his sharp gaze at Harry.
His years of intuition from solving cases immediately told him something was terribly wrong.
