Michael was inexplicably feeling anxious, the evening's tracking of Rebecca Smith kept haunting him: "Dad, what exactly happened... You're not going to leave for a long while again, without any phone calls, are you?"
Hank Clegg and Michael looked at each other for a second or two.
He finally said, "Rebecca Smith, she had a car accident?"
Rebecca Smith had a car accident?
Both children were shocked.
"Car accident? Wasn't she supposed to be in the hospital?" one smartly stated.
A sharp look flashed in Hank Clegg's eyes: "You knew she was in the hospital?"
He shouldn't have shared the information about Rebecca Smith being monitored in the hospital.
"Well... when we went to get our dental casts today, we guessed she was in the hospital." Michael quickly explained, "I saw one of the guards who works for you watching her, so I made the deduction."
