"There's no need to thank me," Hank Clegg's gaze seemed to inadvertently slide over her. He responded coldly as ever, "I just don't want my parents and child to worry."
She was the mother of his child and his parents' acknowledged daughter-in-law.
But to him, she was nothing.
At most, she was a record in a file, even a suspected terrorist.
"Um, I have a request I'd like to discuss with you." Sitting as the co-pilot, Victoria brushed her hair. "I feel it's a bit awkward for me to stay at the Clegg family's home with my current identity. Thus, I'd like to move back to our previous residence with our baby."
Victoria thought that Hank Clegg would immediately agree to her request.
Who knew that Hank Clegg, almost without mulling it over, answered, "No."
Victoria's eyes lit up, "Why?"
