"What are you implying?" Mrs. Clegg coldly asked from the side, "Are you suggesting that someone in the Clegg family stole your medal?"
"Rebecca did not say that," Rebecca Smith pitifully ducked toward Hank Clegg, "but the fact is the medal is missing. It's a relic from my brother, his favorite medal when he was alive, why would I joke about it?"
"Heh," Mrs. Clegg involuntarily sneered, "Haven't you made enough jokes before? You even dared to joke about Hank's life, is there anything you can't do?"
This woman, she had completely fallen out with her, especially since her son was increasingly disregarding her words and siding with Rebecca. Mrs. Clegg no longer wanted to give Rebecca any face at all.
Things had not turned out the way Rebecca had hoped.
But she understood that the most important person was Hank Clegg, not Mrs. Clegg. As long as Hank stayed on her side, she would not fear anything.
