Hank Clegg gave a slight nod, moving to the window, looking out at the bright, sunlit world beyond.
Wherever there was sunlight, there was always warmth, vitality and vigor.
Yet, in corners where sunlight could not reach, evil and filth invariably lurked.
The flower he wanted to protect had ironically grown in the darkest corner, and despite him giving his all, he couldn't turn back time and provide her with sun and rain.
Hank turned back, Shawn had already gone to Victoria's room.
"How are you feeling now?" Shawn placed a glass of warm water in front of her, asking Victoria tenderly.
Victoria, leaning against the pillow, nodded slightly: "Much better, thank you, Shawn."
Shawn smiled, sat beside her, and brought the cup to her lips, "Here, have some water first. Do you want to eat anything? I can take you out."
Victoria slowly sipped the water, "Thank you, Shawn..."
