"Are they a couple having a spat?" An auntie comments to the person beside her.
"Baby, what's going on between your daddy and mommy?" Someone couldn't help but ask.
One making a face, the other carrying an iceberg, looked kind of strange altogether.
"We are not married." Victoria finally snapped, retorting annoyedly.
"Hey," she nudged Hank Clegg with her elbow, whispering, "clear this up quickly."
But Hank Clegg completely ignored Victoria's comment and fixed his gaze on a car parked on the road nearby.
The car was hidden under a tree's shade and its windows seemed open. However, it was impossible to see who was inside.
Just a faint whiff of danger was slowly seeping out.
Hank Clegg squinted his eyes.
This feel... is it Lewis Marshall?
He had definitely caught Hank Clegg's gaze.
Inside the car, Lewis Marshall rolled up the window and resumed his seat.
"Start driving." He commanded the driver.
He was hiding in the darkness, and Hank Clegg was in plain sight.
