Mrs. Clegg hurriedly calmed her husband down, "Don't rush. Let's clarify things first."
She turned to Victoria, "Miss Talkington, may I ask what your relationship is with our Shawn now?"
Victoria smiled, "Previously, we had a boss-employee relationship. But I've resigned, so I hope we can still be friends."
"Resigned?"
Mr. and Mrs. Clegg were shocked.
"Why did you resign?" Mrs. Clegg asked urgently. It couldn't be that her son had harassed his employee to the point of making her resign.
Victoria frowned in distress, "Because the boss thought I was too nagging and wanted me to stop following him around. I didn't want to irritate him further, so I simply resigned."
Stifling a gasp, Mrs. Clegg asked tentatively, "Are you... not in a romantic relationship?"
