Victoria hadn't expected Hank Clegg to suddenly say something like that.
She was startled, but soon she smiled, "What are you talking about?"
She leaned toward Hank Clegg with a coquettish tilt, "The main reason I worry about Shawn Clegg is that he's your brother..."
"Yes," Hank Clegg nodded, "But watching you argue with him, I thought you might be a pair of 'frenemies.'"
"How could that be possible!" Victoria immediately protested, "Our characters truly don't match at all."
"I know," Hank Clegg frowned slightly, "but why do you seem so well-matched? If I weren't here, you probably would really end up with him, wouldn't you?"
Victoria shook her head without hesitation.
She answered blankly, "It's hard to imagine."
Indeed, it was hard to imagine. She had never felt anything for Shawn Clegg beyond friendship or familial love, so she couldn't picture what being with him would even be like.
However, Hank Clegg's words made Victoria worried and scared.
