"Who? Shawn?" Victoria asked as she arranged the food ingredients. "That's nice, Shawn is a good guy."
"Good enough for you to have his child?" Hank Clegg remarked with a tinge of sarcasm.
However, as perceptive as Victoria was, she didn't pay much attention to this subtle change in his tone.
"I don't know yet," Victoria unwrapped a piece of cheese, "Having a baby is such a complicated matter, just thinking about it is bothersome."
She licked some cheese stuck on her fingers with an innocent look at Hank, "I don't even know how I ended up having a baby."
Watching her rosy tongue lightly lick her slender finger, Hank instantly felt himself tense up.
This thoughtless woman could always inadvertently provoke his most sensitive nerves.
"Is that so?" He couldn't help leaning towards her, his breath flickering her eyelashes, "Is Miss Talkington still as confused as before? Will you wake up crying again, accusing me of being a bad person?"
