"Speaking of which," Mrs. Clegg suddenly struck a thoughtful pose, "if Victoria is pregnant, then we'll need to hurry the wedding along. All this commotion lately has unnecessarily dragged it out."
As Mrs. Clegg grumbled, Mr. Clegg appeared from nowhere.
"In my opinion, both of you should immediately get the marriage certificate," Mr. Clegg grumblingly pointed out to Mrs. Clegg, "This was all your idea to do something fancy and have them get the certificate during the wedding ceremony. Who needs such theatrics?"
"That's the perfect way to do it," Mrs. Clegg responded, looking unhappy, "It's the current trend, after all."
"Ignore your mother," Mr. Clegg directed at Victoria and Hank Clegg, "If there's time today, go get your certificate. Steps should be taken decently and in order. You're not tiny children anymore; don't keep changing plans. Hey, sonny, I'm talking to you! Where do you think you're looking?"
Hank Clegg truly didn't want to look at his father.
