"Why haven't Michael and Dad found me yet?" Dodo asked despondently, sinking into her hiding place, "And why haven't those guys come to deal with the stolen goods?"
Dodo thought for a moment, then pulled out her rations and energy water.

"Oh, my God. If they're not planning on bringing anyone until after a week, does that mean I have to stay here for a week?" Dodo thought, abruptly losing her appetite for her water and rations. She quickly examined the contents of her backpack, where she had a Swiss Army Knife. She pondered whether she should use it to saw through the iron chains outside.
"I'll wait a little longer." Dodo hesitated.
The spot was rather remote. Even if she escaped, it was unlikely that she would find a public telephone to call the police.
