"I had a blast."
Unexpectedly, to Victoria, the one to answer first was Dodo.
Then she added, "It's really the social event I've been looking forward to. Oh, and the prize I got was from Merlin Edvin, who gifted it to me."
She held up a teddy bear that was on the side.
Everyone noticed Dodo's unusual behaviour.
Merlin Edvin had a look of surprise in her eyes, not understanding why Dodo was suddenly so kind to her.
"As long as you enjoyed it." Hank Clegg nodded, not asking anything further.
The dusk fell.
Unexpectedly, Dodo knocked on Merlin Edvin's room door.
"Still awake?" she asked.
Merlin Edvin stood at her room's doorway, still wearing Dodo's old nightgown, giving Dodo a sweet smile: "What do you think? Am I sleepwalking? Come in."
She moved aside, and Dodo walked into her room.
The first thing Dodo did when she came in was throw the teddy bear onto Merlin Edvin's bed.
"Here, take it back. I don't want your stuff," Dodo said disdainfully.
