"There's really nothing much to talk about..." Hank Clegg hesitated as he was about to speak.
He seemed to be trying to figure out how to simplify the whole story.
"Spit it out," Victoria was practically exasperated.
She had just managed to escape from a life and death situation and desperately needed a spine-tingling story to distract herself and lighten the mood.
"Well, there was a prominent family that was assassinated on a certain year, a certain month," Hank Clegg said, choosing the simplest of words. "The husband and wife were brutally murdered, but their two children disappeared and they were never found."
"Is that all?" Victoria raised an eyebrow.
"That's all," Hank Clegg replied firmly.
Victoria crossed her arms, "I'm not buying it."
"Suit yourself," Hank Clegg looked sideways, "Anyway, that's the whole story."
