Upon closer inspection, Victoria noticed a darker wet spot towards Matilda's waist area.
She was dressed in a loose purple batwing top and brown harem pants. From her waist to her thighs, the color of her clothing was significantly darker.
The pants seemed to have turned completely black.
Victoria was taken aback for a moment before sudden realization hit her.
"Are you bleeding?"
Matilda kept walking briskly forward, "Victoria Talkington, you sure talk a lot."
Victoria hurried after her, "Are you alright? Maybe we should look for a hospital first, were you shot?"
Matilda again repeated, "You sure talk a lot."
"Matilda," Victoria tried to support her by the arm.
Matilda instantly shrugged her off, "Don't touch me."
Her voice was packed with rejection.
They had been walking for what felt like forever before they finally reached a small hill.
Matilda led her to a concealed spot where she pushed aside the branches to reveal a dry cavern.
