"What else?" Hank Clegg relentlessly pursued, "You hitch a ride and spend over two hours?"
"I, I fell asleep in the car, Matilda didn't want to wake me, so she drove me all the way to the Clegg Family's main gate, and then got off the car. What's the matter with that?" Victoria answered.
"Really? Is that the reason you were all smiles with her at the front door?" Clegg's words were highly aggressive.
Victoria choked.
"Who am I bothering by smiling?" She retorted loudly.
"If you're a comedian, of course, you're not bothering anyone!" Clegg almost snarled.
Victoria cried out in exasperation, "I'm done talking with you, it's totally illogical!"
She tossed a pillow. "Tyrant, despot!"
The next second, her jaw was clamped by Clegg.
"Say that again," he threatened menacingly.
Tears welled up in Victoria's eyes in defiance, she accused, "You're a bully!"
"Good," Clegg's hand moved to her throat, pushing her back down, "I enjoy bullying you."
