"Yep, I'm quite a remarkable woman!" Victoria Talkington unabashedly declared.
Once she accepted the character Albert Park's grandfather had assigned to her, she immediately began to sing her own praises.
"You are definitely remarkable," said Hank Clegg, his face stern, "Remarkably outrageous."
"How dare you?" Hank's father got angrier quicker than Victoria. "Victoria has done a great job. She succeeded where the two men in this house failed. Even if you don't want to praise her, there's no need to mock her!"
Listening to this, Hank's mother could see another quarrel brewing. She hurriedly defused the tension: "Look, this young couple is just sweet-talking each other! Why do you, an old man, interfere?"
Hank's father paused for a moment, then insisted defensively: "There's a limit to sweet talk, I don't want to hear you insulting someone like this ever again!"
Done saying his piece, he stood up and walked off without looking back.
