Victoria was pleasantly surprised to find Hank Clegg at her side the next morning.
"When did you come back?" She embraced him all at once.
As Hank turned his head and saw the shining glimmer in Victoria's eyes, a wave of sweetness also swept over his heart.
"Last night. You were in deep sleep." He turned to face her.
"I thought you wouldn't arrive until today at the earliest." Victoria could not hide her joy.
Hank had returned. He was by her side, making it seem like there was no longer anything she had to fear.
"How is everything going?" They got up together, and Hank asked Victoria.
Victoria told Hank about her meeting with Mrs. Qi in the afternoon the day before.
He frowned, "The Gordon family really likes to kick someone when they are down."
"From your tone, it seems that they didn't plot the whole thing?" Victoria was somewhat surprised.
