"Victoria Talkington!" An angry shout came from Hank Clegg on the other side of the phone.
"What are you doing!" His voice was somewhat irritable and harsh.
"What..." Victoria was somewhat flustered.
It was rare for her to hear Hank Clegg speak to her in such an angry tone.
"Listen to me," Hank's voice resounded authoritatively, "Get rid of all those messed up thoughts in your head right now. This is an order!"
"This is an order..." Victoria regurgitated Hank's words, a little lost.
"Yes, an order! I command you to stop thinking about unimportant things from now on. Be it any paintings or any foundation, honor or money, or even any affection or importance for the gifts I gave you - get rid of them all." Hank's voice held absolute resolve.
"But... I can't help but think..." Victoria was on the verge of tears again, unable to stop her self-recriminations and doubts.
