However, Michael shook his head.
"No, Miss Dodo, you're wrong. Lucas Douglas didn't sell the paintings." He stated confidently, "I specifically checked all the destinations of the paintings, no one has collected them."
Dodo was somewhat stunned at this.
"No one has collected them? But why?" she found it hard to believe, "Could it be that Lucas Douglas had us steal the paintings because... he wanted to keep them for himself?"
"I'm not sure about that," Michael pouted, "All I found out is that Lucas Douglas never sold these paintings. Actually, if you think about it, if Lucas really wanted to sell the paintings, he wouldn't have me forge and return them. Who would believe that he had the original paintings then?"
"But I remember you always marked your paintings," Dodo said.
Michael nodded: "Yes, I did mark them, but only I knew that, Lucas didn't. It's impossible to let a collector check the paintings."
