On the other end of the call, Hank Clegg seemed to pause for a breath before answering Victoria, "Matters of the heart can't be forced. Whether it's Logan Franklin or Charlotte Wilson, they're both adults. They have the right to choose for their own lives."
"Who doesn't know that?" Victoria fumed, "Can I not be worried?"
"Of course, you worry about your own things, and Logan makes his own choices. Is there any conflict here?" Hank Clegg asked again.
"That's it... I won't talk to you anymore!" Victoria stamped her foot in frustration, "Men really make no sense."
Hank Clegg could hardly keep from laughing. How did he become the one making no sense?
"So what do you want me to do?" He asked, "Am I supposed to force Logan to like Charlotte?"
"At least try to persuade him," Victoria suggested, "Doesn't he listen to you the most? I'm not saying he has to marry Charlotte, but since she likes him so much, can't he try to get along with her? If it doesn't work out, they can break up."
