Charlotte Wilson had barely finished speaking when Logan Franklin, who was pinned to the floor, gave her a look that could only be described as fierce.
This gaze was filled with infinite hatred, which made Charlotte shudder and nearly hide behind Victoria.
Victoria too received quite a shock.
She hurriedly asked Mason Ross, "Is it true? Has he gone mad?"
Mason rolled his eyes and before he could reply, it was Hank Clegg, partially kneeling on the ground, who spoke.
"He's not mad, but he might as well be."
Having said that, he loosened his grip on Logan.
Once Logan was free, his first action was to turn around and viciously aim for Hank Clegg's throat.
His move was both swift and ruthless. Victoria and Charlotte's eyes couldn't keep up, but Hank Clegg fell back just in time to dodge the blow, seizing Logan's wrist in the process.
Both men grappled for a moment, their actions communicating their conflict.
