Victoria quickly opened her palm.
A small object was wrapped up in a note. Upon unwrapping it, she saw that it was a white USB drive. The note had one line written on it.
[Remember you owe me a favor.]
This was from Albert!
Surprised, Victoria quickly looked around.
Albert Park was nowhere to be found in the spectators' area.
She didn't recognize anyone behind her. The faces were all unfamiliar, leaving her unable to figure out who had just handed her the object.
Hank Clegg returned.
"The lawyer has submitted the witness application. You can take the stand soon," he whispered to her.
Victoria clutched the USB drive in her hand, not sure if she should immediately tell Hank Clegg what she had received.
But... what was actually on the USB drive? If she gave it to Hank Clegg now to verify, would she miss out on something important?
Could Albert harm her?
Or rather, why would he help her?
What benefit would he gain from helping her, or from incriminating Harry Gordon?
