Esther Churchill's behavior had now pushed Asher Park's patience to its limit.
He flung Esther away irritably, cursing, "What on earth are you up to? Stop messing things up for me!"
Esther's face hit Asher's flailing arm, and she started wailing and rolling on the ground, "How dare you hit me, Asher! I'm telling my parents! I want an apology! How could you raise your hand against me over a woman!"
If Asher had given it some thought, he would have noticed something odd about the situation.
Truth be told, Esther's hysterical outburst was actually instigated by Victoria and Albert Park.
But Asher failed to see it, probably because Esther would always kick up a fuss over the slightest thing and would always come crying to him.
He just assumed her jealousy had driven her to lose her grip again.
Enraged, he kicked Esther and roared, "Get out!"
