"Put me down," Victoria suddenly sat up straight, "We're almost at the company, I can walk the rest of the way."
She didn't want to be seen getting out of Hank Clegg's car.
Hank Clegg pulled the car over to the side of the road.
Just as Victoria opened the car door, his voice echoed again, "I have many enemies and prefer to stay low key. Despite my parents' wishes for me to have a grand wedding, I am not interested. I hope you understand."
Victoria's feet were on the ground, but she turned herself back to him.
"What…" She was completely stunned, "What are you talking about?"
"Giving you an answer." Hank Clegg still did not look at her, "About us."
Victoria stared blankly at Hank Clegg for a while.
All of a sudden, she scoffed.
"What is this? A proposal? A discussion about cohabitation? Or are we an old couple discussing daily life?" she sarcastically commented, "Or do you think marriage, two people living together, can be achieved by casual conversations?"
